How Zach's Cabin Got Its Name

Zach's Cabin was named in the honor of Zach Allen, a sheriff's deputy in the mountains of Colorado.  Zach was killed in the line of duty on a law enforcement venture in 1876 in Del Norte, Colorado.  Zach spent time in the Eagle Valley, as a protector of justice in the Wild West.  Zach Allen was father to Alice "Allie" Allen Townsend, for whom Allie's Cabin in Beaver Creek was named.
