Mirabelle Restaurant, Beaver Creek

Later, cattle rancher Gulling Offerson purchased the property and added onto the front of the building, including the porch.Willis Nottingham, also a cattle rancher in Avon, then aquired the property. As the largest residence in the heart of old Avon, it was the site of many community meetings and social gatherings. The last owners are Vail Resorts.  During the building of Beaver Creek Resort, a local couple lived in the home.  The husband was working on the development of the resort.  Once the resort opened, it was transformed into Mirabelle restaurant. The rear portion of the building was added for the restaurant in 1981, using the architectural style established in the original wings. Mirabelle opened in June 1982.  Belgium master chef Daniel Joly took over the restaurant in the late 1980s, accumulating accolades from national publications and his guests since then.
